Monday was just crazy. We did school...everything.
I started feeling sick and CC#1 started getting sick as well. She did really well, though. When I went to the dentist in the afternoon, not only did my awesome little sister watch all four kids including screaming baby, but also helped CC#1 do her history work! I was so proud.
I was not so proud of the results of my dentist exam. I have work to be done to the tune of $1700. Yep. Time to buy fluoride.
Anyway. CC#2 did hardly any work because her new thing is painting and every time I have her do work she just asks to paint...so I let her. I'm easy on the second born. But she did do some number pages and handwriting and we counted and such.
CC#1 practiced piano kind of, did all her work and we played a game for math plus her pages. She's doing great in school, I must say. I just wish her reading was better. (she's doing fine but I have high standards)
After the dentist the younger kids had gymnastics and then we scrambled to clean the house before my father in law and his wife got here. HE came to fix some things in our house but today sometime hit his eye and he's at the ER with Casey and it's almost 11pm and CC#1 is so sick she has a fever, poor thing.
She was such a trooper doing all of her work today. I feel so bad for her. WE didn't do piano because the piano is in the office where our guests are staying. They did all scripture stuff and I read another Friend article to them. We did math and practiced the whole counting routine stuff and then we did all of the fun books from mindware, like Logic links and Venn diagrams. Anyway we did a couple of pages from about 7 books. She finished a pronoun page she was working on, did a writing page, handwriting, spelling, and for science we talked about flowering plants and she did some coloring.
I think I need to have her write out more narration and do dictation. I think I should have her practice reciting more than the A of Faith everyday as well.
She read just one reader today and I read to the girls for about an hour and the younger kids for awhile on top of that. Tonight they listened to a story on tape in bed since I had to go shopping.
The End for now.
I forgot to add that the kids also did French both days as well.
