Days 42,43, & 44

I can hardly remember this last week. As I mentioned in my last post, my father-in-law came to help fix things around the house for the entire week. It was amazing to have his help on so many things!

CC#1 unfortunately got sick with a fever on Tues night and I let her slide on her work on Wed until it was apparent she wasn't feeling that bad and I started pushing her on some activities later in the afternoon. Both girls attended ballet in the afternoon. I had a meeting that night. I felt a lot of stress that day even though the morning was more relaxed. They played some games and puzzles with Grandma Coan and I took some extra time to teach one on one with CC#2. It's a tough balance trying to fit equal time in for CC#2.

On Thursday it was more business as usual although we were having a little bit of late starts and we didn't get piano in all week.

CC#1 worked hard on her history but didn't finish all there was to learn and color. We also talked about flowering plants this week and I don't think I did a very good job of teaching that lesson.

Friday my sister came over and we exercised and then went to a craft store. I totally blew off her gymnastics and the day wasn't as productive as it should have been.

CC#2 practiced a lot of reading, counting and handwriting this week. WE read stories and did all of that kind of thing so I think we're all doing okay. CC#1 did all of her math, spelling, language, reading and more. She did a lot of French.

I was pretty pleased with the week overall. I was a little embarrassed that Grandma Coan had to clean the windows and I was grateful she helped so much in the kitchen. I didn't get the laundry off of the loveseat all week and the laundry really piled up. Thankfully when the washer broke my father in law just happened to be here to fix it for me!

On Saturday I went to help and help myself at a Stake Swap. I snagged a great Anne Taylor jacket and some items for school and organization. I found a blouse and socks for the kids still in packaging and a few nice books. I love free stuff!

After that we played miniature golf with the grandparents and then pretty much just vegged the rest of the day. Today I feel so sick so I guess it's good timing. Next week my mother-in-law, Grandma Judi, is coming for a visit and we are going to be busy finishing Christmas shopping, getting portraits done, doing crafts and making treats. I'm totally overwhelmed.
